Tuchman, Barbara
(1912-89)
   American historian. She studied at Radcliffe College and was a research assistant at the Institute of Pacific Relations in New York. She then worked for the Nation. From 1943 to 1945 she worked at the US Office of War Information. Her works include Bible and Sword, The Zimmerman Telegram, The Guns of August, The Proud Tower, Stilwell and the American Experience in China, Notes from Asia, The March of Folly and A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century.
